The Executive Secretary of the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD),Tolulope Odunaiya, has moved to strengthen ties with the online media, describing journalists as vital partners in the fight for pensioners’ welfare.
Odunaiya made the call in Abuja on Tuesday while receiving members of the Association of Corporate Online Editors (ACOE), led by its Chairman, Mr Sola Akingboye, at the PTAD headquarters, Abuja.
She hailed the media as a “champion of clarity,” stressing that credible reporting was key to breaking down complex pension issues for the public.

“The media is a champion of clarity… partnerships will help amplify our efforts and inform citizens both in Nigeria and abroad, as the online space knows no boundaries,” she said.
Responding, ACOE Chairman, Sola Akingboye applauded PTAD’s reform strides under Odunaiya, especially the I Am Alive Confirmation (IAAC) solution — a tech-driven system that replaces the stressful physical verification of retirees with a seamless online process.
According to him, the innovation has saved the Federal Government huge costs and spared pensioners needless hardship.
“These accomplishments reflect commendable leadership. You can count on us to promote PTAD’s work across our platforms,” the ACOE chairman assured.
Odunaiya welcomed the offer, saying PTAD was open to sustained collaboration with credible media outfits to keep Nigerians informed and ensure transparency in pension administration.
