The Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN has received a consignment of maintenance equipment and spare parts to strengthen electricity transmission infrastructure in its Benin Sub-Region.

The materials were delivered by the TCN Project Monitoring Unit, Abuja, on Monday, November 2, 2026.

The company said the materials had been offloaded and secured in the sub-region’s store, pending deployment for routine and emergency maintenance operations.

According to TCN, the delivery is expected to improve the region’s ability to respond promptly to equipment faults and maintenance requirements, thereby reducing the duration of transmission outages.

The intervention is also expected to improve the reliability of the transmission network and ensure more efficient delivery of bulk electricity to distribution company load centres serviced by the sub-region.
