JUST IN: 2 Died, Many Injured as Ilorin Danfodiyo Students Involved In Auto Crash
Two female students of Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto have reportedly lost their lives while others sustained various degree of injuries in a ghastly auto accident along Yawuri Road in Kebbi State.
Intercontinental News 247 gathered that the students who are of Ilorin descent boarded the said bus with plate number KSB 33444 from Omoda roundabout in Ilorin West Local Government this morning.
Some of the injured students are said to be currently receiving treatment at the General Hospital, Yauri while some were denied due to lack of bed space.
Also, another 3 victims, according to a source have been referred to Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital (UDUTH), for onward treatments.
Confirming the incident, Ilorin Emirate Students’ Union President, Sheikh Abdulwaheed Kajola through a press release jointly signed by its PRO said it is true but the ” reason for the accident is yet to be known.”
At the time of filling the report, there are no official statements from the school authority or the police yet.
