Matawalle Commends President Tinubu on Military Salary Increment, Pension Payment

The Honourable Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Muhammed Matawalle, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his prompt action in addressing the welfare of military personnel.
INCNews247 learnt that the President has approved the payment of military salary increases with three months arrears, as well as the release of funds for the payment of pension and other owed entitlements of retired military personnel.
Matawalle confirmed that military personnel have begun receiving notifications for the three-month salary increase.

He acknowledged President Tinubu’s commitment to enhancing the welfare of both serving and retired military personnel.
The Minister also recognized the efforts of the Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, in facilitating these payments.
Matawalle encouraged the Nigerian military to remain committed to their duties, assuring them of President Tinubu’s dedication to supporting their morale and providing necessary resources to address insecurity in Nigeria.
The Minister noted the Nigerian military’s significant contributions to combating insurgency, terrorism, and other forms of criminality.
He assured the officers and personnel of the Nigerian Armed Forces of President Tinubu’s commitment to eradicating insecurity in Nigeria, supported by the military’s readiness and resilience.
