AbdulRazaq said government was taking every necessary step to ensure the safety of lives and property in the community, stressing that criminality would not be allowed to thrive in any part of the state.
He commended the swift response of the military and other security agencies, noting that their presence had boosted the confidence of residents and prevented a further breakdown of law and order.
The Governor urged community members to remain calm and cooperate with security operatives as clearance operations continue.
Meanwhile, the state government said additional intelligence-gathering efforts were underway, including collaborations with local vigilantes and traditional rulers, to strengthen surveillance across border communities in Kwara South.
AbdulRazaq reiterated that his administration would not relent until all criminal elements threatening the peace of the state are flushed out.
