APC Names Gov AbdulRazaq as Convention C’ttee Vice Chairman

The All Progressives Congress, APC has appointed the Kwara State Governor and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, to key positions ahead of its 2026 National Convention slated for March 27 and 28.
AbdulRazaq was named Vice Chairman of the 73-member Central Coordination Committee and Chairman of the Convention Legacy and Rapporteur Committee.
The committees were inaugurated on Wednesday by the party’s National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.

Speaking at the event, Yilwatda described the forthcoming convention as a defining moment in the party’s progressive journey, urging members of the committees to ensure a transparent, inclusive and credible process.
He said the convention would further strengthen internal democracy and consolidate the party’s unity across the country.
AbdulRazaq recently chaired the APC National Campaign Council for the 2026 FCT Area Council Elections.
Other governors appointed into the committee include Umo Eno, Douye Diri, Hyacinth Alia, Babagana Umara Zulum, Bassey Otu, Sheriff Oborevwori, Francis Nwifuru, Monday Okpebholo, Abiodun Oyebanji and Peter Mbah.
The 73-member committee is expected to oversee key aspects of the convention, including coordination, documentation and stakeholder engagement, as the party intensifies preparations for the national gathering.
