The Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN has restored bulk electricity supply to several communities and businesses in Abuja following an outage that lasted more than 40 hours.
TCN announced the restoration in a statement issued by its management on Thursday and obtained by INCNews247.
The company said supply was restored through the Kukwaba 132kV Transmission Substation at 4:16 pm on Thursday, after an outage that began at 12:24 am on Wednesday, October 14.
According to TCN, the outage followed the tripping of the 33kV feeder L36, while efforts to restore supply were delayed by a faulty line circuit breaker.

The company said its engineers subsequently connected feeder L36 to feeder L34, enabling the restoration of bulk electricity supply to the affected load centres served by the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company.
The affected areas include Daba Estate, Police Barracks, Kuchigoro Community, Veritas Plastic Company, Idu, Paipe Village, Hala Rice Company, Rico Godo Feed Max Company, Chessboard Estate and Chinese Stone in the Saburi area.
TCN said bulk power was now available for AEDC to distribute to customers in the affected locations.
The company thanked residents and businesses for their patience and understanding during the period of the outage.
