The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC Shehu Mohammed, has ordered a nationwide internal reform aimed at strengthening discipline, professionalism and service delivery across all commands of the Corps.

The directive mandates the immediate deployment of the Corps Management Team to field commands nationwide for a structured retreat and reorientation programme.

According to a statement issued on Friday, the engagement is designed to recalibrate operational standards, improve productivity and address all forms of incivility and unprofessional conduct towards members of the public.

Mohammed said the Corps would not tolerate any behaviour capable of undermining public trust or compromising its statutory responsibilities.

He stated that the nationwide exercise would focus on strengthening ethical compliance, enhancing supervisory accountability, standardising enforcement protocols and embedding a citizen-centred approach in all operational activities.

The Corps Marshal directed Commanding Officers to institutionalise renewed performance benchmarks and ensure strict adherence to the Corps’ code of conduct at all levels.

“As a service-oriented agency, we must continuously reflect, recalibrate and recommit to the highest standards of professionalism and respect for the motoring public,” he said.

The statement added that members of the Management Team would interface with critical stakeholders and members of the public to obtain feedback on service delivery and operational conduct.

Mohammed stressed that personnel found culpable of misconduct, abuse of authority or acts capable of bringing the Corps into disrepute would face firm disciplinary action in accordance with established regulations.

He reiterated that the FRSC remained committed to delivering professional, humane and efficient road safety services, noting that the reform initiative was a decisive step towards strengthening public confidence in the agency.
