2027: Araba Gains Momentum After Abuja APC Guber Screening
The political permutations ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Kwara State gained fresh momentum following the successful screening of governorship aspirant, Femi Sanni, in Abuja.
Sanni, popularly known as Araba, was said to have emerged as one of the leading aspirants from the state during the high-level exercise, a development that has further energised his supporters and political associates across Kwara.
The screening, according to political observers, provided aspirants with the opportunity to present their leadership vision, governance agenda, administrative competence, and understanding of issues affecting their respective states.

Sources close to the exercise disclosed that Sanni distinguished himself through what was described as his calm leadership style, developmental proposals, and people-oriented agenda.
The outcome has since sparked celebrations among supporters, youth groups, professionals, market associations, and grassroots political structures across the three senatorial districts of the state, with many describing it as a reflection of his growing acceptance among the people.
Speaking on the development, some supporters said the Abuja outing had reinforced their belief that the aspirant possesses the competence, exposure, and grassroots connection needed to advance the development of the state.
Political analysts also noted that Sanni’s increasing popularity stems from his ability to maintain relationships across different segments of society, including professionals, party stakeholders, community leaders, women groups, and youths.
They added that discussions surrounding the Araba political movement had continued to dominate conversations in several parts of the state, including Ilorin, Offa, Patigi, Kaiama, Baruten, and Omu-Aran.
Supporters of the aspirant further described Araba as a leader committed to unity, empowerment, infrastructure development, and inclusive governance, noting that his message continues to resonate with residents ahead of the 2027 governorship race.
