The Director, Defence Media Operations, Major General Michael Onoja, disclosed this in a statement on Friday.
According to Onoja, troops of Operation Hadin Kai rescued six abducted farmers in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State and two additional victims in Askira Uba, while another 37 traders and crew members abducted by sea pirates were rescued along the Oron-Ibaka waterways in Akwa Ibom State.

He added that troops of Operation Whirl Stroke also rescued 72-year-old Lydia Odegba, mother-in-law of the Katsina-Ala Local Government Chairman in Benue State, alongside three other kidnap victims in Kogi and two escaped victims intercepted along the Kogi-Kwara border.
Onoja said about nine kidnapped victims also regained their freedom following air component operations in Mariga Local Government Area of Niger State.
He said troops arrested several suspected terrorists, informants and logistics suppliers in Borno, Adamawa, Yobe, Zamfara, Kebbi, Plateau, Edo and other states, while recovering AK-47 rifles, ammunition, motorcycles, ransom money and communication devices.
The military spokesman also disclosed that several family members of terrorists surrendered to troops in Gwoza and Dikwa areas of Borno State.
According to him, sustained military offensives continue to degrade insurgent capabilities and deny criminal groups freedom of movement across the country.
He urged citizens to continue supporting security agencies with credible intelligence to enhance ongoing counter-terrorism operations.
