NAHCON, Saudis Hajj Ministry Deepen Strategies for Hajj 2023

The Hajj and Umrah Exhibition at the Super Dome Centre in Jeddah came to a close today with a strategic meeting between the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
The meeting, according to Mousa Ubandawaki, the Assistant Director Information and Publications of NAHCON in a statement Thursday, focused on topics such as Pilgrims’ orientation, security, safety, flight schedules, and movements in the Kingdom.

The NAHCON delegation, led by Sheikh Suleman Mommoh, Commissioner in charge of Planning, Research, Statistics, Information and Library Services (PRSILS), discussed the allocation of 95,000 Hajj slots to Nigeria for this year’s Hajj and discussed plans to ensure a successful pilgrimage.
In his remarks, Sheikh Suleman expressed appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, through the Ministry, for entrusting the Commission with 95,000 Hajj slots for this year’s pilgrimage.
He also assured that all necessary measures will be taken to ensure a successful Hajj experience.
Suleman further noted his delight in the timely release of guidelines and rules, which are essential for the Commission’s efforts in educating pilgrims, coordinating transportation and logistics.
Additionally, Emad Muhammad Mardoum, leader of the delegation and Head of Tafweej in the Ministry, emphasized the Kingdom’s priority on ensuring the safety and education of pilgrims to achieve a successful and fulfilling Hajj experience.
He disclosed that the Ministry had in place multi-dimensional approach for this year’s Hajj and therefore enjoined NAHCON to ensure compliance and goals of achieving Hajj mabrur.
The 4 day Hajj and Umrah Expo which kicked off on Monday ended today with over 400 participants which included private tour operators and Hajj Missions across the world.
