CGC Adeniyi Urges Senior Course 10 Graduates to Elevate Customs Service Efficiency

The Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, has urged graduates of Senior Course 10 at the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College to remain committed and serve as exemplary ambassadors for the Service.
Addressing the graduates on Friday in Abuja, Adeniyi emphasized the importance of continuous learning and the value it adds to the Service.
“It is a great honor and privilege to be back at this prestigious institution and part of this graduation ceremony of Senior Course 10 today. You have undergone rigorous six-month training that equips you to add value to the Service. I congratulate you on your commitment, which has led us to today’s occasion,” Adeniyi said.

He urged the graduates to utilize their newly acquired skills to improve border security, combat smuggling, and enhance revenue collection.
Adeniyi also reassured the college management and staff of his dedication to improving the welfare of officers, which he believes will boost efficiency within the Service.
Earlier, the Commandant of the College, Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs Kingsley Egwuh, congratulated the graduates and conferred on them the title of Pass Senior Course (PSC).
“With the permission of the Special Guest of Honour, the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, I stand here with joy to confer you all with this title. I implore you to practice what you have learned as you return to your respective Commands,” Egwuh said.
Also, Deputy Commandant and Director of Studies, Comptroller Oluyomi Adebakin, noted that the students had been thoroughly trained in various fields according to the curriculum of the Senior Course.
He urged the graduates to maintain high moral standards and exhibit their competence in their professional duties.
“I have no doubts that with the quality of training you have received, you will be good ambassadors of the College and the Service at large. I urge you to exhibit your competence to your subordinates when you return to your places of work,” Adebakin said.
INCNews247 reports that on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, the college management hosted a regimental dinner night to honor the graduates of Senior Course 10. The CGC was represented by DCG Beatrice Nwafor, the Deputy Comptroller-General of Customs in charge of Excise, Free-Trade Zone, and Industrial Incentives.
Addressing the graduates during the regimental dinner night, Nwafor encouraged them to view the opportunity of attending the course as a means to improve their performance as Customs officers.
“You are now as strong as eagles. You are, therefore, expected to keep soaring higher,” Nwafor said.
