BREAKING: Ajuloopin Vies for National Assembly Speakership

Hon. Abdulraheem Olawuyi, popularly known as Ajuloopin, has announced his intention to contest for the position of the Speaker of the House of Representatives for the 10th National Assembly.

Ajuloopin, a member of All Progressives Congress, APC, representing Ekiti, Isin, Irepodun, and Oke-ero Federal Constituency of Kwara State, confirmed that he would officially declare his intention on April 4 in Abuja.

As a third-term member of the House of Representatives and a ranking member, Ajuloopin expressed his confidence in his ability to bring his wealth of experience to bear in making the office of the Speaker more productive if elected by his colleagues.

He further stated that he had consulted widely on his intention to contest the position and was delighted with the feedback he received.

The ranking rep, who is also the Chairman, House Committee on Emergency and Disaster Preparedness, promised to promote policies that will benefit all Nigerians, irrespective of their background, and work with all parties to unite the country.

He looks forward to meeting with fellow lawmakers, sharing his vision with them, and listening to their ideas on how to improve the lives of the people, if elected as the Speaker.

The official declaration ceremony is expected to be attended by other lawmakers, serving and newly elected members of the House of Representatives.
