In his sermon, Sheikh Solagberu emphasised the importance of praying for leaders, especially in a period marked by economic challenges and security concerns.
He called on Nigerians to remain prayerful and supportive, asking Allah to guide the president in steering the nation.
“In these times of trial, prayers for our leaders are more important than ever. We ask Allah to grant them wisdom, courage and guidance to navigate the affairs of this country,” he said.
Delivering the welcome address, the Secretary of the Al-Arifina-Billahi Ministry, Khaleefah Isma’il Adeyemi Yusuf, said the gathering was aimed at mobilising prayers for national development and fostering unity among Muslims.
“This session is a deliberate effort to seek Allah’s intervention for the president and the nation. We believe that spiritual support is a vital component of national progress,” Yusuf said.
Also, the Leader of the Ministry, Alhaji Dr. Abdulrafiu Abubakar Oyebode described the initiative as timely, noting that moral and spiritual support for the country’s leadership remained crucial as Nigeria navigates economic and security challenges.
The event also featured the presentation of awards to distinguished personalities recognised for their contributions to community development, religious engagement and humanitarian service.
Oyebode said the awards were intended to encourage exemplary conduct and service to humanity.
The event included Qur’anic recitations, special supplications for national security, unity and economic recovery, and prayers for Allah’s guidance over President Tinubu and leaders at all levels of government.
