CBN Staff, 3 Others Killed in Supermarket Heist

In a tragic incident on Tuesday evening, suspected criminals targeted Abdullahi Supermarket in One Man Village near Mararaba, Nasarawa State, claiming the lives of four customers, one of whom was a Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN staff.
The victim, identified as Daniel Adefemi Okunade through his CBN identity card, was fatally shot in the head during the robbery, and sadly, he died instantly.
Eyewitnesses reported that the entire robbery took less than two minutes, resulting in the gruesome murder of three other customers whose identities remain unknown at this time.

According to witnesses, Okunade, also the choir master of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in One Man Village, had stopped by the supermarket to purchase bread for his family when the assailants stormed the busy store, claiming the lives of the four customers.
Strangely, Okunade’s Toyota Venza car, parked outside the supermarket, was left untouched by the criminals. The late CBN staff was returning from work when he fell victim to the ruthless robbery.
At present, the atmosphere in the vicinity is tense, with people flocking to the supermarket to identify the victims.
The New Nyayan Divisional Police Station has taken charge of the situation, transferring the corpses to the Mararaba Medical Center mortuary.
While the police have not released official information about the incident, sympathizers, including church members, are offering condolences to Okunade’s family at their residence. The community mourns the loss of innocent lives in this shocking act of violence.
