We’re Committed to Following Correct Budgetary Procedures – KWSG

The Kwara State administration has reaffirmed its commitment to following correct budgetary procedures and following due process when it comes to its financial commitments.
Mrs Oyeyemi Olasumbo Florence, the Commissioner for Finance, stated that the current administration, led by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, is committed to improving budget preparation and processes in accordance with the National Chart of Accounts.
The Commissioner made this statement on Friday in Ilorin, while giving a welcoming address at a workshop for Directors of Planning, Research, and Statistics in Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to update them on budget preparation and processes utilizing the National Chart of Accounts (NCA).

Mrs Oyeyemi explained that the workshop was in fulfilment of the present administration’s commitment to enhance human capacity for improved service delivery and to align with international best practices in budget preparation and processes.
She added that the workshop would also acquaint planning officers in MDAs with new techniques and technology for budget preparation and expressed confidence that the template would be put to use for the preparation of 2022 budget.
