Former Kwara Guber Candidate, Ajia Loses Dad

 

 

The Ilorin Emirate mourns the loss of a distinguished community leader, Alhaji Yahaya Olayiwola Ajia, who passed away peacefully on the night of Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the age of 80.

 

 

Alhaji Yahaya was one of the last surviving sons of the late Alhaji Muhammadu Kuranga Ajia, the 5th Ajia Saka Saka of Ilorin. A pillar of integrity, humility, and service, he leaves behind a lasting legacy of dedication to family and community.

 

 

By Islamic rites, Alhaji Yahaya was laid to rest on Wednesday morning at the Muslim Cemetery in Ilorin.

A Fidau prayer to honour his memory will take place:

Venue: Ajia Saka Saka Mosque, Ajia Saka Saka Compound, Abdulazeez Attah Road, Agaka, Ilorin

 

 

Time: 10:00 a.m.

 

 

Alhaji Yahaya is survived by his children, including Dr. Abdulmumin Yinka Ajia, Associate Professor of Business Administration and Director of the MBA Program at Lincoln University, USA, as well as numerous grandchildren.

 

 

The family extends an invitation to friends, relatives, and well-wishers to join them in the Fidau prayer as they celebrate the remarkable life of a man who was a beacon of virtue in the Ilorin Emirate.

 

 

May Almighty Allah grant him Al-Jannah Firdausi and provide solace to all who mourn his loss.
