Grid Collapse: Minister Badaru Directs Protection for Electricity Workers in Northern Nigeria

The Honourable Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar CON, mni, has directed the Chief of Defence Staff to provide security for the repair of electricity towers damaged by third-party interference.
This move is in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR’s concern over the recent grid collapse that caused widespread power outages across Northern Nigeria.
INCNews247 onserves that the collapse, resulting from third-party interference, disrupted citizens’ lives and necessitated swift action.
To prevent further interference from non-state actors, the Minister instructed the Chief of Defence Staff to ensure the safety of workers repairing this critical national infrastructure.

The primary goal is to prioritize repairs and restore the grid’s functionality for the benefit of all citizens.
