Hajj Management: NAHCON Set to Hold Workshop for Directors, Tour Operators, Others

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced that it will hold a one-day workshop on Hajj Management in preparation for the 2023 Hajj.
The workshop, themed “Training and Capacity Building for Group Leaders in Hajj,” is scheduled to hold on Saturday at the Conference Hall of the Hajj House in Abuja.

According to a statement released by Mousa Ubandawaki, the Deputy Director of Information and Publication of NAHCON on Thursday, over 90 participants, including members and executives of the Forum of States Pilgrims Welfare Boards/Agencies/Commissions, Chief Executives of International Private Tour Operators, Directors, and Management Staff of NAHCON, and other stakeholders are expected to attend the workshop.
The Director-General and Consultant of the Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia, Dr. Badr Muhammad Al solamin, will address the workshop, while other resource persons include Dr. Mohammed Shokri Zamzami, the Executive Director of the Pilgrims Tawwaf Committee and Jamrat Grouping in Muassassah, and Abdullah Hammadu Adam, Administrative Officer, Muassassah.
The resource persons arrived in Nigeria to a warm welcome from the Chairman/CEO of NAHCON, Alh. Zikrullah Kunle Hassan, the Commissioner in charge of Policy, Personnel Management, and Finance (PPMF), Alh. Nura Hassan Yakasai, the Commissioner for Planning, Research, Statistics, Information and Library Services (PRSILS), Sheikh Suleman Mommoh, the Commissioner in charge of Operations, Licensing, and Tour Operators (OIL), Alh. Abdullahi Magaji Hardawa, and senior management staff of the commission.
The workshop is aimed at providing participants with insights on best practices in Hajj management and enabling them to acquire the necessary skills to successfully manage the 2023 Hajj.
This initiative is part of NAHCON’s efforts to ensure a seamless Hajj operation and provide a fulfilling experience for Nigerian pilgrims.
