By Abdulganiyu Abdulrahman Akanbi

The report of a female Air Force officer humiliating a car driver went viral on the evening of Wednesday, September 22nd, 2021, and drew widespread attention in Ilorin.

INCNews247‘s reporter went to the field to report on how the incident unfolded while identifying the victim and parties involved in order to capture the whole picture of the story.

According to the results, the alleged Air Force officer mistreated the driver because of her power and influence, even when she was on the wrong side of the law. At the time of writing this report, all attempts to identify this officer proved abortive.

Umar Faruq, a brother of the mistreated driver, while narrating the incident said his brother was unjustly dealt with despite being on right side and revealed the situations surrounding the abuse.

“I arrived at the scene. When I discovered that she was an officer, I begged her and I asked her to allow us fix the car even though she was wrong. It was a new car, unregistered, perhaps she just bought it and learning without any learning indicator ( L ),” he added.

Also, Umar recounted how they pleaded but unfortunately, despite the pleading, they were enmeshed in serious torture and beating.

“As we were begging and pleading with her as an officer, the next thing we saw was that her boys in uniform have started beating everyone at the scene,” he said.

Speaking further, he relayed that his brother was taken away to the Air Force base at Oloje, where he was beating before his release on Wednesday’s night on the strict condition to apologising to the woman.

“Before we realized what was happening they dragged out my brother with merciless beating and took him to Airforce base at Oloje estate Ilorin kwara state where he was kept under torture before he was released at night and compelled to go and apologize to the woman officer in her house.”

They were cheated, Umar stated, while emphasising the severe agony that tormented his brother. He demanded justice from the authority in charge.
