IEDPU Northern Zone Celebrates Emir of Ilorin on 28th Anniversary

The Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union, IEDPU Northern Zone, has extended warm congratulations to the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, on the occasion of his 28th anniversary on the throne.
In a statement released by the IEDPU Northern Zone Chairman, A.S. Moyosore at the weekend, it was noted that the Emir’s reign has been marked by numerous achievements benefiting the people of Ilorin Emirate.
Moyosore highlighted the notable advancements in human and material resources, as well as the remarkable positive physical transformation of the region, positioning Ilorin Emirate as one of the fastest-growing settlements in sub-Saharan Africa.

Moyosore praised the Emir as an exceptional leader, crediting his reign for fostering unity, cohesion, and strength among the people of Ilorin Emirate.
The statement acknowledged the surpassing of many once-distant dreams through the career progression of the Emirate’s subjects both within and outside its traditional geographic jurisdiction.
The Union expressed gratitude for the inspirational leadership provided by the Monarch, emphasizing the positive impact on the people of the Emirate and Kwara State.
Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, a former Appeal Court Justice, officially ascended the throne as the 11th Emir of Ilorin on November 11, 1995.
