IEUDI Appeals to Kwara Govt to Resume Emir’s Palace Pavilion Project
The Ilorin Emirate For Unity and Development Initiative (IEUDI) has made a passionate appeal to the Kwara State Government to resume work on the pavilion project at the Emir’s Palace forecourt.
The project, initiated by Senator Saliu Mustapha, representing Kwara Central at the National Assembly, aims to provide a permanent venue for the Ilorin Emirate Annual Durbar Festival and other cultural events.
In an appeal letter to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and made available to INCNews247, Alh. Moshood Lekan Salau, National President of IEUDI, and Hon. Abdullahi AbdulRauph AbdulSalam, National Secretary of IEUDI, said the pavilion project is crucial for promoting the state’s rich cultural heritage and attracting tourism, which will benefit the local economy and Kwara State at large.

“The pavilion project stands as a beacon of unity and development—principles that resonate deeply with your administration’s vision,” the organisation noted.
“We recognize that infrastructure development requires careful consideration and collaboration with all stakeholders. Therefore, we respectfully urge Your Excellency to consider the long-term societal benefits of this initiative and the pressing need to resume work on the site.
“We believe that this project transcends partisan lines and should be evaluated based on its potential impact on the community and our collective future.”
The IEUDI leaders emphasized that the pavilion project aligns with the government’s vision for unity and development, and its completion will foster a spirit of collaboration among citizens.
“An investment in this pavilion is an investment in the people—one that will yield manifold returns in unity, cultural pride, and socioeconomic development,” they added.
