IGP’s Principal Staff Officer Tasks Cadets on Discipline, Integrity

The Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, on Wednesday hosted the Principal Staff Officer to the Inspector General of Police, CP Ahmed Adio Lateef, who delivered a lecture on ethics and professionalism in policing.
The session, held under the Academy’s ongoing Strategic Lecture Series, was themed “Upholding Ethics and Professionalism in Policing: A Path to Excellence.”
CP Lateef, drawing from his academic and operational experience, urged cadets to embrace discipline and integrity as the bedrock of effective law enforcement.

He was accompanied by his course mate and close associate, the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, who also shared insights on professionalism and leadership in policing.
Commandant of the Academy, AIG Patrick Atayero, said the lecture aligned with the vision of the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to raise a new generation of officers committed to ethical standards.
Confirming the event in a statement, the Academy’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Musa Isah Umar, said:
“The session was enlightening and impactful for the cadets. It reinforced the values of integrity, discipline and professionalism which are critical to the future of policing in Nigeria.”
