Insecurity: Nigerian Military Declares War on Native Doctors
By Alabidun Shuaib AbdulRahman
The Nigerian Military has initiated an operation targeting native doctors who offer support to terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, secessionist fighters, and other criminal elements operating throughout the country.
Certain native doctors are known to provide spiritual assistance to these criminals by crafting charms that facilitate their nefarious activities against innocent citizens and the nation.
According to Major General Edward Buba, the Director of Defence Media Operations, on Thursday in Abuja, this action was taken in response to the destruction of a shrine in the southeast, which had been utilized as a sanctuary for criminals and secessionist agitators.

General Buba further revealed that the military is determined to pursue these evildoers wherever they are situated across the country, asserting that the involvement of native doctors is not limited to the southeast alone.
While maintaining secrecy regarding the operational strategy, General Buba made it clear that the military intends to render all identified criminal hideouts uninhabitable.
He also disclosed that one such hideout in Aku Forest in Okigwe LGA of Imo State in the southeast was raided, revealing disturbing and inhumane activities perpetrated by these extremists, including acts of cannibalism.
