ITTF Announces New Nominations Committee, Appoints Nigerian President Tikon Ishaku

 

 

The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) has announced the appointment of a new Nominations Committee, which includes the President of the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation, Tikon Ishaku, and eight other nationals.

 

 

The committee was appointed during the ITTF Executive Board meeting in Chengdu, China on December 9, 2024.

 

 

The Nominations Committee is tasked with identifying and nominating candidates for various ITTF positions, including the ITTF Executive Board and other committees.

The committee is chaired by Abdulla Al Mulla of Qatar, with Ms. Sandra Deaton of England serving as Deputy Chair.

 

 

The members of the committee represent various regions, including Asia, Europe, Africa, Americas, and Oceania.

 

 

Tikon Ishaku, the President of the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation, is one of the two African representatives on the committee, alongside Tago Germain Alfred Karou of Côte d’Ivoire.

 

 

The ITTF Executive Board has thanked the outgoing members of the Nominations Committee for their work and congratulated the new members on their appointment.

 

 

The new committee is expected to play a crucial role in identifying and nominating candidates for various ITTF positions.
