KAF Kicks Off Inter-Secondary School Football Competition for Drug-Free Society

The Kayode Adamolekun Foundation, KAF’s Inter-Secondary School Football Competition has kicked off in Aisegba, Ekiti State.
The competition, which is being held among secondary schools in the Gbonyin Local Government Area of Ekiti State, began at the Aisegba Community Grammar School on Saturday.
The football competition, tagged “Playing for a Drug-Free Society” and sponsored by the Kayode Adamolekun Foundation, is aimed at raising awareness against drug abuse and illicit drugs in society.

In the first game, Aisegba Comprehensive High School played against Ilumoba Grammar School, and Ilumoba emerged victorious with a 3-0 win. Both teams displayed great football skills, but Ilumoba Grammar School came out on top.
In the second game, Aisegba High School defeated Ijanmodu Comprehensive High School with a score of 3-0.
Ojugbaye Comprehensive High School in Imesi Ekiti will play against Methodist High School in Egbe, while Ileowuro Comprehensive High School in Agbado Ekiti will face off against Ode High School in Ode Ekiti in another matches.
Engr. Kayode Adamolekun, the founder of the foundation, stated that the football tournament was necessary to raise awareness about substance abuse among teenagers and young adults.
He also emphasised that football is a universal medium to reach a wide audience and that the competition would provide an opportunity to discuss the dangers of drug abuse and create an enabling environment for rehabilitation.
Adamolekun was represented by Adebayo Adeyemi, the chairman of the inter-school competition, and Ojo Oluwasegun, an official of the foundation.
