Kwara Begins Close Camp Ahead of NSF Gateway 2024
Kwara State Sports Commission athletes to the National Sports Festival, Gateway 2024 begins close camp yesterday evening as the Executive Chairman of the Commission Coach Bola Mogaji charged the coaches to apply the right training that will be helpful to the athletes at the festival.
Welcoming the athletes to the close camp, Mogaji explained that any athlete training to get to his or her peak at the festival must have started about five months to the festival adding that at this stage, the coaches should apply the right training that will be useful to the athletes at the festival.
He charged the athletes to abide by camp rules and face the business at hand squarely.

Speaking further, he assured the athletes that their open camp allowance will be paid to them this morning while the close camp will be paid before departing to the festival.
The Executive Chairman said he was once an athlete and he is committed to taking the welfare of athletes as a priority.
He assured, that the march pass dress, canvas, and jerseys that will be given to the athletes at the festival are for keeps.
Roll call of athletes present at camp were taken sport by sport.
Speaking earlier, the Director of Sports Mallam Ibrahim Bako charged the athletes to be of good behaviour and keep to camp rules.
He urged them to report any challenge they might face during camping but they must follow due process.
