Kwara Pupil Emerges 1st in Queen of Mathematics Competition

Zakariyah Aishah, a JSS 3 student at Shamsudeen Junior Secondary School in Ilorin East LGA, Kwara State has been adorned “Queen of Mathematics”, following her emergence as first in the North Central zone.
Aishah also finished sixth overall at the national level while representing Kwara.
After a fiercely contested preliminary mathematics competition in which the Kwara State delegate performed admirably, she finished sixth behind Imo, Rivers, Lagos, Anambra, and Edo states in that order.

Kwara state came out on top in the North Central classification, followed by Abuja, Plateau State, Kogi State, and Nasarawa State.
The event took place in Abuja on Monday at the NATIONAL MATHEMATICAL CENTER.
Recall, Kwara State has recently participated in Zonal and National competitions, where students from the state have excelled in various school competitions and categories.
They earned praises from policymakers and analysts, attributing the improved academic performance to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s renewed efforts to ensure that education is given top priority through the provision of necessary manpower and welfare.
