The Kwara State Government has issued a directive requiring all staff members under the payroll of the state’s Local Government to register with the Kwara State Residents Registration Agency (KWASRRA).

This registration exercise will take place across the 16 Local Government Council Secretariats.

According to Alhaji Umar Danladi Shero, Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Local Government Service Commission and Pension Board, the goal of this exercise is not to target any officer but to gather accurate data and necessary information for policy formation.

To ensure a seamless registration process, the necessary arrangements have been made, and a circular has been sent to all 16 councils.

However, Alhaji Umar emphasized that failure to participate in the registration exercise will result in staff members being considered illegitimate officers of the council.

The state government has introduced a new policy, “No Registration No Salary and Bonus,” which will be strictly enforced.
