KWASU Law Graduates Set to Join Nigerian Law School

Arrangements are in their final stages to admit Law graduates from Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, into the Nigerian Law School, said the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr. Mary Ronke Arinde on Wednesday.

The announcement was made by the Commissioner during her visit to KWASU in Malete, Moro Local Government.

Dr. Arinde commended the Acting Vice Chancellor and the management team for their efficient service delivery in ensuring the institution’s smooth operation.

She reassured that the admission of KWASU’s Law graduates into the Law School is imminent, with all necessary measures in place to make it a reality.

The Commissioner further shared that the completion of KWASU’s Satellite Campuses at Osi and Ilesha-Baruba is scheduled for the next year.

During the visit, the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Shaykh Luqman Jimoh, expressed his appreciation for the visiting team and highlighted KWASU’s growth, boasting a student population exceeding 30,000 and maintaining a stable academic calendar.

He also emphasized the university’s commitment to security and disclosed that the course curriculum for Osi and Ilesha-Baruba had been submitted to the National Universities Commission (NUC) for approval, in preparation for the next academic session.

Prof. Jimoh conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to the State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for the proposed conversion of the Ilorin General Hospital into the College of Medicine of KWASU.

He further appreciated the governor for providing an enabling environment for the university to thrive productively.
