Markaz Haruna Rasheed Sets to Hold Matriculation Ceremony for Diploma Students

The Markaz Haruna Rasheed Center for Islamic and Arabic Studies is set to hold its matriculation ceremony for diploma students on July 27th.

The event, which invites all community members, marks the center’s first cohort of students and a new chapter in its commitment to academic excellence and innovative education.

Located in Oke Foma Babalaje, Abayawo Ilorin, Kwara State, the center was inspired by the innovative spirit of its parent institute, Markaz Agege in Lagos.

Its founder, Sheikh Haruna Rasheed emphasized that the center stands out for its dedication to academic excellence and creative educational approaches.

In his words: “The center’s curriculum offers students, referred to as Omo Ilekewu, a comprehensive pathway to career progression and academic advancement. The diploma program blends classical Islamic sciences with contemporary academic subjects, providing students with a solid foundation in Islamic and Arabic studies. This holistic education prepares graduates for success in various professional fields by equipping them with critical thinking and analytical skills.”

Sheikh Haruna Rasheed explained that this diploma program, affiliated to University of Ilorin, will “Ensure that graduates are well-versed in Islamic knowledge and equipped with the necessary skills for success in various professional fields.”

He added that the matriculation ceremony is more than just a formal event; it is a celebration of the center’s vision and commitment to educational excellence. “It represents the culmination of years of planning and hard work by the center’s founder and staff. For the thirty students being matriculated, it is a moment of pride and a stepping stone toward their future academic and professional endeavors.”

He, therefore, invites stakeholders in education, students, friends, family, and all well-wishers to join the event, signifying a new chapter in the mission to advance Islamic and Arabic education.
