Matawalle Condemns Abduction of Female Varsity Students in Gusau

Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Mohammed Bello Matawalle, has strongly condemned the abduction of female students from Federal University Gusau.
In a statement released and signed by Ag. Director Press and Public Relations of the Ministry, Attari M. Hope, on Sunday, the minister expressed his heartfelt sympathy to the affected parents, the academic community, and the entire population of Zamfara state for the tragic incident.

Dr. Matawalle stated, “I share in your pain and strongly condemn this reprehensible act carried out by suspected bandits.” He called on the nation’s dedicated security forces to redouble their efforts and utilize all available resources to ensure the safe return of the abducted students.
The minister emphasized the need for a collective effort in securing the release of the abducted students, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s eight-point agenda to strengthen national security for peace and prosperity.
He reassured the citizens of Zamfara that both air and ground components of the military have been extensively deployed within the state, and every measure will be taken to safeguard the lives and property of all Nigerians.
Dr. Matawalle concluded by reaffirming the federal government’s commitment to providing security for the lives and property of the citizens.
