Moon Committee Reports Positive Sighting of Ramadan 1444H Crescent

The National Moon Sighting Committee has announced that there have been numerous reports of positive sightings of the crescent of Ramadan 1444H from different parts of Nigeria.
The committee expressed its gratitude and said “Alhamdu Lillah, Taqabbalallahu Minna Wa Minkum” to all those who participated in the crescent sighting process.

It added that His Eminence The Sultan will make a formal announcement shortly. The announcement is eagerly awaited by the Muslim community, as it will confirm the start of Ramadan.
The committee expressed its hope that Ramadan will be a blessed month for all Muslims and that they will reap the benefits associated with the month.
Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, is a time of fasting, prayer, and reflection for Muslims around the world. The sighting of the crescent marks the beginning of the month and is eagerly awaited by millions of Muslims worldwide.
