NADCEL: Gen. Magashi Assures Improved Welfare System for Nigerian Military
The Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has lauded the Nigerian Army’s milestone achievements in rendering service to the Nation in its 158 years of establishment
President Buhari stated this in a message to the grandfinale of the 2021 Nigerian Army day celebration, NADCEL held in Abuja.
The President who was represented as special guest by the Minister of Defence, Maj Gen Bashir Salihi Magashi (rtd) said government appreciates the sacrifices of the youths who are in the frontline supporting the national aspirations to keep the country safe and secured at all times.
While tasking the Nigerian Army ditto other services to evolve new strategies to restore peace in parts of the country within the shortest time possible, he urged the fighting troops to sustain the current tempo of the offensives aimed at neutralising the insurgents and the bandits threatening national territorial integrity.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces said under his watch he will do everything within the constitutional provisions to sustain the regime of better welfare for the serving and retired members of the Nigerian Armed Forces.
He lauded the efforts of the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Faruk Yahaya towards repositioning the service for combat efficiency and higher productivity in service delivery to the nation.
The representative of the Special guest, Maj Gen Magashi later decorated one of the recipients of the Chief of Army Staff commendation award and presented keys of some newly purchased hilux utility vehicles to the Regimented Sergent Majors, RSM including that of the Army Headquarters.
