The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has released the 2026 Hajj fare, announcing a reduction of about N200,000 compared to last year’s cost.

The Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the Commission, Professor Abdullahi Sale Usman, disclosed this after consultations with relevant stakeholders, including the Forum of States leadership, and with the approval of the Federal Government.

According to the breakdown, intending pilgrims from the Maiduguri-Yola Zone, comprising Yobe, Borno, Adamawa, and Taraba states, are expected to pay N8,118,333.67.

Pilgrims from other northern states will pay N8,244,813.67, while those from the southern states will pay N8,561,013.67.

Professor Usman noted that the reduction was achieved through intensive negotiations and cost-cutting measures in collaboration with service providers in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, a NAHCON delegation currently in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has signed agreements with the 2026 Hajj Service Provider Company, Mashareeq Al-Zahabiyya, and the designated Transportation Company, Daleel Al-Ma’aleem, to facilitate smooth operations during the pilgrimage.

The NAHCON boss urged all intending pilgrims to complete their payments on or before 31st December, 2025, warning that late payments may not be accommodated.
