By Alabidun Shuaib AbdulRahman
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has raised a red flag regarding unauthorized individuals and groups posing as agents, making commitments to service providers for pilgrims’ accommodations and feeding arrangements in Saudi Arabia for the 2025 Hajj.
It added that some of these impostors have even established contact with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah under the Commission’s name.

In a statement obtained by INCNews247 on Monday, Fatima Sanda Usara, the Assistant Director of Public Affairs said NAHCON has not authorized any individual, group, or agent to enter into contracts or make arrangements on its behalf, affirming all official transactions are conducted strictly through recognized and authorized personnel.
Therefore, NAHCON Chairman, Prof Abdullahi Saleh Usman, cautioned stakeholders to exercise caution, ensuring all dealings are done through official channels.
He warned that unauthorized agreements will not be honored, stating NAHCON won’t be responsible for any losses incurred due to fraudulent schemes.
The Commission noted that to verify authenticity or clarify any NAHCON-related claims, contact the NAHCON office through official channels.
