The statement, signed by the parliament’s Chief Whip, Hon. Ayuba Bako Ma’rufudeen, noted that Seriki has excelled in his business and career life and has shown leadership prowess and acumen through various positions held in the past.
These positions include Youth Coordinator for the North Central Presidential Campaign Council in 2019, Governorship Campaign Coordinator for Kwara Central 2019, Stakeholders’ Chairman for APC Kwara State 2019-2020, Youth Coordinator for the North Central Presidential Campaign Council 2023, and Director-General for Kwara Governorship Campaign Council in the just concluded 2023 general election.
The group commended Ambassador Seriki’s commitment and dedication to the All Progressive Congress, APC, demonstrated when he stepped down for the incumbent Kwara State Governor in 2019 despite being the first to start an open campaign.
The parliament also appreciated his display of maturity during the lost primary election to the senator-elect for Kwara Central, Mallam Saliu Mustapha.
The North Central Youth Parliament, therefore, expressed its appreciation to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his youth inclusiveness in governance, placing him at a pivotal position as a leader.
The group urged the governor to continue to do more for a better Kwara and the North Central region at large.
