Oloriegbe Facilitates Multi-Million-Naira Science Lab Equipments for 4 Schools

Dr Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe, Senator representing Kwara Central, has facilitated Science Laboratory Equipment worth millions of Naira to four selected public schools in the Kwara Central Senatorial District as part of his concerted effort to promote the teaching and learning of science subjects at the elementary level.
The gesture was reported to be motivated by the need to provide learners with hands-on experiences that will help them improve their knowledge, abilities, and skills in science, innovation, and technology.
The senator reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to educational development while presenting the equipment to the schools through Engr. Ajani Jimoh Olanrewaju.
Olanrewaju who is one of his aides, said that the choice of the equipment was to complement the state government’s efforts in providing necessary educational tools to enhance learning in the area of science education.

“My representation gives priority to education and being a product of science myself, I understand how effective the teaching of practical classes would be when complemented with relevant materials, it’s on this ground that I facilitated this laboratory equipment to aid learning and make teaching more effective in our schools.
“This, among other interventions in education underscores our commitment to the cause of improving the quality of education obtained in public schools. Not long ago, we facilitated the construction of classes and distribution of instructional materials to schools within our constituency.”
Speaking further, the Senator urged the staff to make judicious use of the equipment to imparting knowledge to the students.
“Our wish is to see the teachers fully utilize the laboratory equipment to impart knowledge that will improve the performance of the students in science subjects and equip them with problem-solving skills.”
He went on to say that the four schools selected in the first phase of distribution were from the Ilorin West and South Local Governments, promising that the gesture will be maintained in the remaining two local governments in the coming months.
Dr. Oniyangi, Chairman of the Ansarul Islam Society of Nigeria’s Education Committee, expressed his gratitude to the Senator for his contributions to the development of the school, saying that the laboratory equipment was the best form of empowerment and that its effects would forever reflect in what the students become in the future.
“The Senator has been very responsive to our yearnings. He has in his efforts to ensure the accreditation of the proposed Muhammed Kamalud-Deen University facilitated huge projects for the institution and to the admiration of everyone, he is always available to deploy his material means to advance the development of our course.
In their respective remarks, the principals of the benefitting schools, appreciated the lawmaker for the gesture, describing it as timely and necessary for the effective teaching of science subjects which would in turn help in building children for a better future.
The 2-day event had several dignitaries in attendance among whom were; party stakeholders, representatives from State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and the Local Government Education Authorities.
The schools that took delivery of the equipment were; Ansarul Islam Secondary School, Oloje, Ilorin, ECWA Secondary School, Oja-Iya, Ilorin, Government Secondary School, Oke-Aluko and Government High School, Adeta, Ilorin.
