Oyo Youth Commissioner Pledges Support as Students Present Demands to Govt

The Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Oyo State, Hon. Wasilat Adegoke, has pledged to leverage her position to address the demands presented by the students to the government.
Adegoke expressed her appreciation for the students’ proactive approach and commended their willingness to collaborate with her office.
She further assured them that the administration led by Governor Seyi Makinde is dedicated to ensuring affordable access to quality education and the creation of viable opportunities throughout Oyo State.

The Commissioner reminded them that Governor Seyi Makinde, known for keeping his promises, remains committed to the welfare of students and recognises their significant role in society.
The students’ demands presented to the state governor include the appointment of a Special Assistant to the Governor on Student Matters, approval for the distribution of student buses as previously promised by the government, and the reactivation of the student bursary scheme.
Earlier, Comrade Adegoke Ridwan, Vice President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Zone D, commended Governor Seyi Makinde’s substantial achievements in developmental projects within the state, charging him to prioritise the welfare of the students also.
