President Tinubu Hails Eniola Bolaji, Nigeria’s Paralympic Trailblazer
President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Eniola Mariam Bolaji, the 18-year-old badminton sensation, on her historic bronze medal win at the Paris 2024 Paralympics.
Bolaji, who clinched the medal in the women’s Para-badminton SL3 event on Monday, became the first African athlete to achieve such a feat in the sport at the Games.

In a statement by his media aide, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu commended Bolaji for her courage and resilience, which she demonstrated against all odds to secure Nigeria’s first medal at the Games.
The President described Bolaji as a fine example of the resourcefulness, talent, and grit of Nigeria’s youths, thanking her for making the nation proud.
He urged Bolaji not to relent but to keep striving for success, saying her achievement is a testament to the potential of Nigerian youths.
