Ramadan: IEDPU FCT Distributes Over 2000 Bags of Rice, Semo to Ilorin Indigenes in Abuja

The Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union, IEDPU FCT has launched a large-scale Ramadan food support programme, distributing over 2000 bags of rice and semolina to Ilorin indigenes in Abuja.

 

This initiative, championed by the Chairman of IEDPU FCT, Alhaji Lukman Atanda Abdullah, also benefited two (2) women organizations, six (6) Islamic organisations, IEDPU FCT stakeholders and Ilorin Emirate Students at University of Abuja.

 

The distribution was carried out through the eleven (11) branches of the union in the Federal Capital Territory.

 

Alhaji Moshood Kadriyyah, pioneer Chairman of IEDPU FCT, set the tone for the distribution with an opening prayer, praising the initiative and praying for everyone involved.

 

He sought divine blessings and prosperity for all those involved.

In his remarks, the Chairman of IEDPU FCT, Alhaji Lukman Atanda Abdullah, expressed his gratitude to the donors who made the programme a reality, noting that this was the first time the union was embarking on such a massive programme in Abuja.

 

Abdullah recalled that during his inauguration as Chairman, he promised unity, welfare, human capital development, and empowerment for all members in FCT.

 

“We are delighted to be able to put smiles on the faces of our members during this holy month of Ramadan,” he said.

 

“This Ramadan food support programme is our way of showing appreciation to our members and demonstrating our commitment to their well-being. We have been working tirelessly to ensure that our members receive the support they need to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan with ease.”

 

Also, the National Vice President (North) of IEDPU, Alhaji Saheed Tunde Yahaya, commended the FCT leadership for their efforts in supporting the welfare of all members.

 

“The IEDPU FCT has demonstrated its commitment to the welfare of its members. This Ramadan food support programme is a clear example of their dedication to supporting those in need. We must continue to work together to support one another, especially during this holy month.”

 

Yahaya further emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation among members, saying, “We must recognize that our strength lies in our ability to work together towards a common goal. IEDPU FCT has shown that with determination and commitment, we can achieve great things.”

 

The immediate past chairman of the IEDPU Northern Zone, Barrister Ahmed Shehu Moyosore, Esq, also praised the initiative, noting that it was a demonstration of the union’s commitment to the well-being of its members.

 

“IEDPU FCT has set a high standard for others to follow. This Ramadan food support programme is a good initiative and well appreciated.”

 

Moyosore added that the programme would have a significant impact on the lives of the beneficiaries, saying, “This support will go a long way in making the Ramadan celebration more enjoyable for our members. We must continue to support one another, especially during this holy month.”

 

Some of the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the IEDPU FCT for the Ramadan food support.

 

“We are grateful for this support, which will help us celebrate Ramadan with ease,” said the President of Ilorin Emirate Students Union, UniAbuja chapter.

 

“We appreciate the efforts of the Chairman and the entire IEDPU FCT leadership for their commitment to our welfare.”

 

The IEDPU FCT was established in 2018 by streamlining all the branches of the union in Abuja to strengthen unity and cooperation among members.
