TCN said power supply was restored at about 7:02pm after the repair work was completed.
The restoration has enabled the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company to resume the off-take of electricity for distribution to customers in Uyo, Eket, Ekim and Itu, which were affected by the incident.
The company explained that the temporary outage was necessary to facilitate the repair work and ensure the reliability of the transmission infrastructure.
“TCN apologises for the inconveniences experienced by the affected areas during this outage,” the statement said.
The company assured electricity consumers that the restoration of the transmission line would allow normal power distribution to resume in the affected areas.
