BREAKING: Adeniyi Rejigs Customs Management, Announces New Appointments

The Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, has announced a major shake-up in the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) management team, following the retirement of some senior officers.

In a statement released on Friday and obtained by INCNews247, Adeniyi disclosed that the appointments were made in acting capacity to enhance service delivery and reinforce the Service’s commitment to leadership.

The newly appointed management members include BM Jibo, Acting Deputy Comptroller General (DCG) of Finance, Administration, and Technical Services (FATS); OA Alajogun, Acting DCG of Enforcement, Inspection, and Investigation (EI&I); and IG Umar, Acting Assistant Comptroller General (ACG) of Headquarters.

Others are OA Salefu, Acting ACG of Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC); BA Makinde, Acting ACG of Human Resource Development (HRD); and T Bomodi, Acting ACG of Enforcement, Inspection, and Investigation (EI&I).

Adeniyi charged the newly appointed officers to intensify their efforts to ensure the Service achieves greater heights in its mandates of revenue generation, suppression of smuggling, and trade facilitation.

The Customs boss also thanked the retired members of the management for their meritorious services to the NCS.
