Doctors at Huashan Hospital at Fudan University in China have successfully removed a four-inch-long foetus from the skull of its one-year-old twin sister on Thursday.
INCNews247 learnt that the foetus had developed upper limbs, bones, and fingernails, indicating that it had continued growing for several months inside its sibling in the womb.
It was further gathered that the discovery was made after the parents took their daughter to the hospital for scans, as she had an enlarged head and motor skills problems.

CT scans revealed that her unborn sibling was pressing against her brain.
The foetus was able to survive for a year after birth due to sharing a blood supply with its sibling.
The one-year-old also had hydrocephalus, a condition in which fluid accumulates deep within the brain, causing an enlarged head, extreme sleepiness, and seizures.
According to reports, this rare phenomenon, known as fetus-in-fetu, occurs when twins fuse together in the womb, with one developing physically inside another.
