BREAKING: Emir of Ilorin Confirms Friday Eid-el-Fitr

Emir of Ilorin, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has extended his greetings to the Muslim community of Ilorin Emirate and beyond, in celebration of the successful completion of the 2023 Ramadan fasting.
The message was conveyed in a statement released on Thursday night by the Emir’s spokesperson, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona.
According to the statement, the Eid-el-Fitr prayers will be held on Friday, 20th May 2022, following consultations and confirmation from traditional rulers across the country, including the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Garbai Ibn El-Kanemi, and Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado-Bayero.

The statement also confirms that the Eid-ul-Fitr prayer will take place at the Central Yidi praying ground at 10am, to be led by the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Dr. Muhammad Bashir Imam-Soliu OON.
In his message, Alhaji Sulu-Gambari expressed his hopes that Allah will reward the spiritual exercise, forgive the community’s shortcomings, and accept their good deeds.
He also reminded the people of Ilorin Emirate and beyond to celebrate sallah with discipline, charity, and forgiveness, and urged youths to cooperate with security agents in discharging their constitutional duties diligently.
