Defence Minister Charges Nigerian Air Force to End Banditry, Terrorism

The Honourable Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, has urged the Nigerian Air Force to intensify its efforts in combating banditry and terrorism.

 

 

During his operational visit to the Air Component Sector 2 Operation FANSAN YAMMA in Katsina State on Monday, Badaru acknowledged the Air Force’s crucial role in ending the war.

 

 

Badaru commended the heroic Air warriors for their resilience, courage, and beacons of hope, inspiring the Nigerian people.

He noted that their efforts have yielded positive results, with farmers returning to their farms, schools reopening, businesses thriving, and Nigerians sleeping peacefully.

 

 

The Minister emphasized the importance of synergizing with ground forces and stakeholders to maximize the impact of these combat enablers.

 

 

He also inspected the combat readiness of platforms in Sokoto and toured the site for the new Air Force base.

 

 

Air Marshal Hassan Bala Abubakar, Chief of Air Staff, praised the Minister’s servant leadership style and expressed confidence that the T129 Attack Helicopters will transform operational capabilities, deterring those who seek to destabilize the nation.
