DSS Hints on Possible Attacks by Suicide Bombers in North East

The Department of State Services (DSS) has revealed that the terrorist organization Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) is training suicide bombers in the North-East.
Babagana Bulama, the DSS Director in Adamawa State, stated that the suicide bomber training is targeted at carrying out a fatal strike soon.
According to Bulama, the DSS learned of the scheme through available intelligence.

He made the disclosure during the 2022 1st Zonal Quarterly Conference of State Directors of Security, North-East region on Thursday in Maiduguri, Borno State.
According to Bulama, “Although, attacks by the insurgents in parts of the zone recently reduced owing to counterterrorism operations by security forces.
“Available intelligence has indicated that ISWAP are training suicide bombers with a view to carrying out deadly attacks on security agencies and vulnerable communities.”
