EFCC Accuses Own Investigators of Bribery, Corruption

In a New Year address to members of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Chairman, Ola Olukoyede has expressed concerns about some investigators engaging in bribery, thereby compromising the agency’s integrity.
Olukoyede warned erring staff to align with agency guidelines, emphasizing responsibility, accountability, and transparency.

The anti-graft czar, therefore, stressed the need for discipline and integrity among EFCC investigators.
He warned of strict consequences for any staff involved in misconduct, urging the Department of Internal Affairs to enhance monitoring.
