FRSC Sanctions Ondo Sector Commander Over Safety Standards Breach

The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC has taken swift action against the Ondo State Sector Commander for operating a patrol vehicle with a worn-out tyre.

 

INCNews247 reports that this move comes after a disturbing video went viral on social media, showing the vehicle in question.

 

Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed has condemned the use of the worn-out tyre, stressing that it is a complete negation of the Corps’ core values and standard operating procedures.

He has ordered immediate sanctions against the Sector Commander, emphasizing that the Corps has zero tolerance for any compromise on safety standards.

 

In addition to the sanctions, the vehicle has been booked for infraction, and the Sector Commander will be required to pay the fines for negligence.

 

The FRSC has reiterated its position as a pace-setter amongst agencies in Nigeria, with a strong focus on safety and quality standards.

 

“The Management of the Corps will continue to supervise field commands diligently, while Commanding Officers are expected to uphold the ideals of the Corps,” said Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed.
