As the holy month of Ramadan begins, Google has highlighted the various tools available on its platform that can help Muslim faithfuls around the world to observe the month of fasting, reflection and prayer.

The tech giant has indicated that Nigerians, especially Muslims, can use its tools to pray, reflect, and commune with one another, including through its video-sharing platform, YouTube.

Google Assistant is one of the highlighted tools that can be used to set reminders for prayer times throughout the day.

Users can ask Google Assistant to set a reminder for the next prayer time, and they will receive a notification when it’s time to pray. The reminders can be customized to fit their schedule, ensuring that they never miss a prayer.

Another tool available on Google platform is Google Lens, which enables users to search for specific items using the camera on their phones.

This tool can be used to search for a dessert that they have tasted at a friend’s house or to find their next favorite decoration item to buy during Ramadan.

By opening the Google app on their phones and tapping on the camera icon, they can snap a photo or screenshot and use Google Lens to easily find exact or similar results to shop from or explore for inspiration.

Google Maps is also a valuable tool for finding local mosques and halal restaurants during Ramadan.

Users can search for mosques in their area or around them and get directions to join in community prayers.

Additionally, they can search for halal restaurants near them to break their fast with delicious and authentic cuisine.

Google Maps can also help users navigate through unfamiliar areas when they are traveling to different cities or countries during Ramadan.

With Google Maps, they can plan their Ramadan activities and explore new places with ease. Furthermore, they can read reviews and ratings from other users to help them make informed decisions about where to go.
